Tanya MacFarlane offers beginner and intermediate mosaic workshops at her studio & store in the Upper Beaches of Toronto. Using a large selection of ceramic, vitreous, porcelain & found objects you can make one of over 24 projects. Classes are ongoing and are offered weekdays, weeknights and Saturdays.

Mosaic workshops for beginners 30 minutes from Montréal, Québec. During the 14 hours course you will create your own mosaic, all supplies and tools included. Lessons are held in French in our fully equipped, professional studio. Classes are offered on four consecutive Saturdays every month from 1 to 5 pm.

Carole Dobson of Mosaïque Art & Design offers mosaic courses through the Alberta College of Art and Design Continuing Education program, in Calgary, as well as directly from her studio at Artpoint Studios and Gallery ( www.artpoint.ca ). Courses are also offered through Red Deer College. She can arrange to travel to your site for custom programs.
Carole has received extensive training from mosaic masters in the US and Italy, and loves to share the experience of mosaics with others.

Nicala Swiednicki of Blue Lotus Arts shows students every step it takes increating a stained glass, vitreous and ceramic mosaic. Various techniques, tools and materials are discussed, and participants walk away with a head full of ideas, inspiration, and the tools necessary in completing a mosaic on their own with confidence. Nicala is currently teaching beginner and intermediate class, eventually adding advanced projects for those wanting to pursuer a larger and more intricate masterpiece for their collection.Courses are offered through the Port Moody Arts Centre located in Port Moody, BC, and private classes are also offered on location for personalized projects.

Erin Pankratz-Smith offers beginner, intermediate, and children's mosaic workshops at her home studio in Edmonton, Alberta. A large selection of glazed and unglazed ceramic, vitreous glass and handcut china is available to help create a multitude of mosaic projects. Classes are regularly scheduled for weekends and weeknights. A very open teaching method is used to help students find their way and allow the creative process to thrive. History and techniques discussed and demonstrated so students can leave and create mosaic art pieces on their own. Open studio time is also offered for people with on going projects. Consultation for people making large projects like backsplashes and outdoor applications also available. An annual one week Mosaic Intensive offered during August.
